Portsmouth Caen Ferry reviews

  • "Night crossing"

On our outgoing journey we were kept awake by car horns going off, but on the return journey we were on a higher deck and were un effected by any noise from the car deck and slept well. Cabins are small but perfectly clean and functional, the staff were efficient. It was good to be able to get a breakfast before our onward journey although the cooked breakfast wasn’t great.

  • "Very comfortable crossing"

This was our first ferry crossing, so we did not know what to expect. For starters, the vessel was a lot larger than we expected. It was well appointed with cafes, restaurants, lounges and even two small cinemas. Plenty of comfortable seating all over the place and space to lie down and sleep if you wanted. The food at the self-service restaurant was excellent. Well organised, on time and a most pleasant experience overall.
