"Review of my crossing"
As crossings go, And I have done most of them over the last few years between France and Uk, It wasn't too bad, Few small niggles I can moan about though are,
1, Booked with 1 person in the vehicle as disabled, Directly with Directferries whome did not inform Brittany ferries, luckily we arrived at the port early and the really helpful lady at book in sorted the problem out without any problems and got us a parking place near to the lift,
2, Upon arriving at the cabin, The cabin staff had only just began to clean the room , and we where told to wait outside until the room was ready (We where not on board early either)
3, Shop which sells Perfumes, Alcohol, Etc , Was open and sold me a bottle of perfume, But would not sell me a bottle of spirits until 10 mins after leaving port, Which is ok, I realise this is probably law, I was told to come back in 10 mins, which I did as my cabin was close by too find the shop was closed and nobody around, I did return at 6 am following morning to be sold what I wanted.
4, Self service restaurant charged me for 2 teas , even though I had only 1 Cup, 1 Teapot, 1 milk sachet on my tray, When I went back and asked at the pay till, was told by the cashier That there was 2 teabags on my tray ??? I couldn't find the other 1,
All this been said, I do travel quite often on these ferries and have never had complaint before, In fact normally find the staff more than helpful , So please don't be put off by my review, I do think as it was Christmas eve ferry, It was possibly a little short staffed, (Only my opinion)
As long as the prices stay reasonable, I have no hesitation in saying I will gladly use them again.
