Hong Kong Ferry Timetable

Known for impressive skylines and natural landscapes, Hong Kong is the perfect place to come to visit a culture that blends together both ‘east’ and ‘west’ styles, with more food to choose from than you’ll know what to do with. With its natural harbour, taking the ferry to Hong Kong has never been easier, especially with there being up to 1008 ferries a week running across 9 different routes, so book now with Direct Ferries to find the perfect ferry at the best price for you.

As there are so many ferries to Hong Kong running on a weekly basis, up to 1008 across 9 ferry routes, it is impossible to give one ferry timetable. This is also because timetables are dependent on other factors such as seasonal changes, ferry operators, and the routes themselves, but here at Direct Ferries we will always give you the most relevant information when you are making your booking.

There is a wide range in Hong Kong ferry sail times due not only to the different ferry routes and ferry operators, but also due to external factors such as weather conditions at the time of sail. On average, ferry sail durations are around an hour to an hour and 20 minutes, giving you quick and easy sailing times throughout Hong Kong and Macau.

Ferry fares are defined by a large number of different aspects, from time of year, to ferry route, to ferry operator, to how you are travelling, so there is not one single ferry fare. Instead, we recommend checking out our handy fare finder tool, to find the best ferry at the best price for you, and be sure to sign up to our email newsletter, to be the first to hear about our latest deals and offers.

  • "Easy transfer to HKIA"

Best way to get to Hong Kong International airport!! Easy check in, no nonsense waiting area. Although it would be nice if they have a small cafe for snacks and coffee. The ship was clean, and quick. If you get the window , you can see the bridge being built.

  • "Worked well - easy way to get to HKIA"

We were booked on to the 07:15 ferry to HK international airport. Our flight was as 10:55 and that was the first ferry. You can only take a ferry to the airport on the day of your flight (unless your flight is before 10:05 - then you can take the last ferry the night before). Check-in at outer Harbour was easy and we had to check-in by 06:15. Gate opened 06:45. All went smoothly. We checked our bags onto the ferry and had to collect them at the airport before official flight check-in. Ferry was clean and comfortable. I get quite sea sick but it was smooth and stable. Nice and cool. Big windows. Took about an hour. Boarding and disembarking went easily. Made it with enough time to boars our flight without feeling too rushed. We didn’t use the ferry’s facilities
