Ao Nang is a small beach resort on the south west coastline of Thailand, found in the central point of the province of Krabi. The area is a tourist hotspot, with a large number of restaurants, bars and shops lining the main street. The town is a hub of activity in the day and remains a bustling spot by night.

Ao Nang Bay provides the perfect setting for keen divers, with scuba diving courses for beginners, instructors and every level in between. The bay is full of uncrowded dive sites with easy access for visitors. Boat trips to see the fantastic coastline regularly leave from the beachfront, an area where rock climbing and water sports are also popular.

There are a variety of travel options to get around the resort. In and around the town, many people use Tuk-tuks whilst renting motorbikes is also a favourite with holidaymakers. Krabi airport is around a forty minute drive or two hours away on local shuttle buses.

The relatively small ferry terminal is situated west of Nopparrat Thara Beach, which runs adjacent to the town of Ao Nang. There are ferries throughout the week, taking passengers west of Ao Nang to Phuket. The Phi Phi Cruiser journey takes just over seven hours.
