Aegean Speed Lines

Aegean Speed Lines offers ferry services between the port of Piraeus, just outside the centre of Athens, and the Cyclades Islands of Greece, in the Aegean Sea.

Using three ultra-modern, high-speed ferries to operate its routes, named Speedrunner II, III and IV, each vessel can carry up to 170 cars and 800 passengers. Furthermore, every one of Aegean Speed Lines’ ferries meets the high levels of comfort, quality and safety required for maritime passenger services, ensuring great value for money and an enjoyable journey.

Just five years on from its inception in December 2009, the company was awarded the "best shipping company of the year" accolade by Lloyd's List for its commitment and dedication to providing high-quality services. This is primarily owed to the Aegean Lines staff and crew members who think and act as passengers themselves, allowing them to offer excellent customer service on a daily basis, and to continually exceed your expectations.

Direct Ferries provides a ferry timetable and price comparison, based on your search criteria, allowing you to compare Aegean Speed Lines products with multiple ferry company timetables and fares in one search.

Compare Aegean Speed Lines timetables and prices now with all alternative ferry operators before booking your ferry ticket to ensure you get the best option for your ferry trip.

  • "What a trip"

I travel d with my family from Piraeus to Serifos returned. The staff was pleasant, the facilities on board clean and the coffee served refreshing. What I would reply comment is the Captain of our return trip on Tuesday . It was quite a windy day and the forecast earlier on the day was giving winds force 7. I really worried that my daughter will be sea sick and the 2.5 hours trip will be the worst memories of our holidays. Not with this captain. He was skilful and made the trip smooth and easy. The waves didn’t bother us and we arrived with only pleasant memories to take the rib us. Thank you for a great sail xx

  • "Great trip on a great ship"

Really comfortable ship that gets to destination quite quickly with no delay. There are snack bars on board with fairly good coffee and staff is pretty helpul too. No complaints! Will be using this ship line in the future for sure! Only issue I’d like to point out is that seats on the back of the ship next to the walls (62H etc) get really cold due to the air conditioning.

  • "Very good experience"

We booked Aegean Seedlines Speedrunner 3 to Sifnos. I will book this vessel again as it is possible to go outside (although please stop putting the pets in carriers on the top deck where they are is boiling sun. They should be inside somewhere in the shade - please!) and this you cannot do on many other vessels. It was fairly prompt on both journeys, only 10 mins late in to Sifnos on the outward journey otherwise bang on. The return journey was a little rough but the ship was quite stable. Good facilities on board, would definitely use again. I would ike the facility though to choose a seat number in future with online booking as we were given seats facing backwards on the return journey which we didn't like. We were able to move as there were plenty of empty seats in June but it might be full in high season. Helpful staff - all speaking english.
